Born in the UK, Karen has been part of the Dubai community since 2008. With a background working in administration, project management and customer engagement, Karen joined the CMA in 2025 as Education and Community Engagement Coordinator to support its reach and impact within the Dubai community. 

Karen’s passion for music began with a peripatetic cello audition at primary school and quickly expanding to include piano. She benefited from many county music service programmes including youth orchestra residential courses. Today, she is a member of the Emirates Community Symphonic Orchestra and has passed her love of music onto her two sons. 

Karen has volunteered with British Scouting Overseas for more than 10 years, and enjoys walking, swimming, tennis and travelling.
