Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is a vibrant and established music education provider based at the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children and Mall of the Emirates. We offer high-quality one-to-one private instrumental lessons at our Centre and deliver a comprehensive peripatetic music service to over 40 schools across Dubai. We are committed to fostering a love of music and providing exceptional musical education to students of all ages and abilities.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHING SPECIALISTS
1. Voice (and Piano)
2. Drums (and Guitar)
3. Woodwind - Must have the ability to teach Flute, Clarinet AND Saxophone. Any applications that do not reflect the ability to teach all three instruments will NOT be considered.
CMA is seeking a well-qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic Instrumental Specialists to join our dynamic team. These full- time positions require an individual with the proven ability to teach their instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instrumental lessons to students at our Centres.
Please note that some roles may require working up to two days a week in Abu Dhabi or may be based in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality individual and potentially small group instrumental lessons on their specialist instrument.

Prepare students for music examinations (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and ensure a strong understanding of Music Theory.

Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full musical potential.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians.

Participate in and potentially lead ensembles or youth orchestra activities.
-
Collaborate effectively with other CMA instructors and school staff.

Be proactive in your professional development and stay current with teaching methodologies.

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills in managing your teaching schedule and resources.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school representatives.
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching their instruments within a British or International School/Music Service.

Hold a Music Degree in Performance & Teaching or equivalent qualification.

Excellent knowledge of music examination boards (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and Music Theory.

Experience in leading or participating in ensembles / youth orchestras / choirs.
-
Highly organised, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.

A genuine love for your instrument(s) and a passion for music education.
Desirable:
-
Ability to teach any additional instruments and accompany students on the piano.

Full and Clean Driving license

ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES
1. Front Desk Coordinator
Main Purpose: Responsible for scheduling students, providing friendly and helpful customer service, organizing of the reception and lobby spaces, answer phone calls, and provide general administrative support to the CMA team.
Qualifications: We value the following traits in a successful front desk coordinator: customer service, problem solving, organization, multitasking ability, functionality under pressure, attention to detail, initiative, teamwork and dependability.
Experience with Google Drive, Spreadsheets and social media are a plus.
Love of music is a must.
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following but the individual will also be expected to perform all the duties necessary which are customarily performed by a person holding this position. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule lessons and classes according to teacher and facility availability.
• Greet students/parents/teachers by name and say goodbye as they leave.
• Ensure smooth operation of the school during lesson times.
• Maintain calendar, website, social media, and other client information.
• Take payments and perform light bookkeeping functions.
• Assist with the upkeep of the facility.
Knowledge and Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed here are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability
required.
• Ability to interact effectively with the public especially with children.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (eg: telephones, photocopiers, and computers)
• Ability to be physically present at the facility during its hours of operation
• Rudimentary knowledge of music and music education
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with CMA staff and management
• Adaptable to changes in the workplace
• Fluent in both Arabic and English, Spoken and Written.
