During the Winter Break, CMA will be offering some wonderful winter music camps to get your children in the festive spirit through making music! All camps will take place at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children, with the exception of Festive Community Singing, which will take place at The Academy in Mall of the Emirates. Winter Lesson Packages can also be booked with our specialists. Check out the details below!
Our camps are open to students both inside and outside of CMA as well as those who learn at our partner schools.

Music Explorers:
Led by the wonderful Mrs T, this lively program is designed for 4-6-year-olds and will introduce your little one to the joy of music through playful activities, creative movement, and hands-on learning. It’s the perfect way for young minds to explore rhythm, melody, and sound in a fun, engaging environment.
Dates: Monday 8th - Thursday 11th December 2pm - 5pm with a showcase from 4pm on Thursday 11th December
Ages: 4-6 years old.

Mini Musical Theatre Camp:
Get into the spirit of the season with our Mini Musical Theatre Camp. With singing, acting and movement, this camp will be a musical journey of singing, acting and movement with a winter twist! Working throughout the week towards a showcase, this mini musical camp will spark joy for everyone involved!
Dates: Monday 8th - Thursday 11th December 2pm - 5pm with a showcase from 4pm on Thursday 11th December
Ages: 7 years old and above, no previous musical expeience required. Participants will be acting, singing and moving.

Orchestra Winter Camp:
Open to all musicians who perform on a woodwind, brass, percussion or string instrument (with additional limited opportunity for two piano players to support on tuned percussion). Our Winter Orchestra Camp is designed to give participants the joy of learning some festive music, and preparing for a performance at the end of the week. Directed by Brian Cunningham, and supported by our fabulous CMA specialists, this week of festive music making will get everyone in the spirit of the season!
Dates: Monday 8th - Thursday 11th December 2pm - 5pm with a showcase from 4pm on Thursday 11th December
Level and requirements: Grade 1 - 5 level ABRSM, Trinity, MTB or equivalent. (Higher grades are also welcome to support!)

Community Festive Singing : After two successful weeks in 2023 and 2024 and a highlight in the winter calendar, Community Festive Singing is back for 2025. Taking place at CMA's The Academy Location in New Covent Garden, Mall of the Emirates, we will learn and sing Christmas carols and festive songs in three and four part harmony around the lovely grand piano. What a wonderful way to get in to the festive spirit!
Cost: FREE
Dates: Monday 15th - Thursday 18th December, December 2pm - 3pm with a performance at 3pm on Thursday 18th December.
Age Range: Ages 13 and up, teachers, students, parents and adults are all welcome!

Lesson Packages : CMA will be open and will be offering special rates for lesson packages throughout the winter break with our specialists. It is also a fantastic opportunity for our families to sample our new site; The Academy the New Covent Garden development in Mall of the Emirates All individual lessons will be priced at the special rate of Dhs 150 per 30 minutes. These lessons can be pro-rated and combined in order to create a package of lessons over the break. As some teachers may be on annual leave, you may be offered a lesson with a different specialist.
