CMA Beginner Wind Ensemble
Brand new for this year, the CMA Beginner Wind Ensemble is designed for those at the very beginning of their musical journeys for students who want to get their first experience of playing in an ensemble. Students who have been playing a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument for a minumum of two terms are welcome to be part of this ensemble. Music will include basic arrangements of popular film themes, songs, and classic wind ensemble repertoire.
Day and Time: Sundays from 10:30am - 11:30am starting on Sunday 31st August
Venue: Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children - Multi Purpose Room
Level: Minimum of 2 terms of lessons (The ability to play 8 notes on any woodwind, brass, or tuned percussion instrument.) Up to ABRSM/ Trinity Grade 1 or equivalent.
Instruments: Woodwind (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone) Brass (French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Baritone, Tuba) Percussion (Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Drumkit*, Timpani) *Drumkit players will be placed on a variety of percussion instruments, and will not necessarily be playing the drumkit in this ensemble.
Cost: Dhs 350 per term.
