Galina Atanassova is a Bulgarian-born musician and piano teacher. Her journey into the world of music began at the age of six when she started taking lessons in accordion, piano and music theory. At the age of thirteen, she gave her first piano recital and since then has been performing as a solo pianist, piano accompanist and with various chamber ensembles. Galina holds awards from a number of national competitions for young musicians and has attended master classes of leading pianists and professors.

In 2000, she graduated from the State Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a major in Piano and Piano Pedagogy. She moved to Dubai in 2004 and has performed at many popular events and venues and taught students from different nationalities and levels.

Galina has been a piano teacher at GEMS schools since 2009. Many of her students have participated in school events and concerts and successfully passed different grades of ABRSM and Trinity Examinations. Working as a piano teacher has given her the opportunity to share her passion for music and inspire many young talents to excel and keep their love for music for a lifetime.
