Zia Sutton
Zia Sutton is a singer songwriter from Paris who studied classical piano at the Conservatoire de
Nanterre, Paris.
She moved to London as a teenager, inspired by the eccentricity and unique creative energy of the capital. She started performing in venues all around the city, bringing her keyboard and self penned songs wherever she felt inspired. At the same time, she sang as a backing vocalist on various TV shows like Pop Idol, performing with top selling artists like Leona Lewis. She later joined a music production team in North London, writing beats, top lines and music for pop, hip hop and grime artists like Tinie Tempah, Wretch32 and JLS. Her album, zilla with her eyes shut, is a testament of her passion for complex melodies, layers of opposing sounds, breaking the boundaries of standard music composition and finding inspiration in the most unusual places.
Thanks to years of experience as a piano teacher, she’s been able to share her love for classical piano and composition with her amazing students.
