Evan Mamba
Evan Mamba graduated in 2010 from St. Paul University Manila, Philippines with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and concentration in Guitar. He was 14 when he started playing the guitar and he has been teaching guitar since 2003.
Evan studied classical guitar under the tutelage of Maestro Jose Valdez, and with
Lyndon Aguilar he had the opportunity to explore the Jazz idiom whilst at
university. Evan plays and teaches classical, acoustic, electric and jazz
guitar. He has performed in several concerts throughout his career and is an
active member of various ensembles, bands, and jazz groups in the UAE.
He also had an opportunity to study Jazz improvisation from the Southeast Asian Jazz Band's saxophonist Mario "Tots" Tolentino. And he received a College Commendation List from the University of Newcastle, Australia for his outstanding academic performance.
Evan is a well-experienced teacher having taught both in the Philippines and the UAE. In addition to guitar, Evan also teaches bass, ukulele, music theory and improvisation. With a wealth of teaching experience, he has worked with students from the beginner level through to the most advanced. He also had students who took the Rockschool's level 6 performance diploma and completed it with high marks.
Evan is dedicated to continually improving his skills. He is passionate to share his
knowledge and skills to the next generation.
