Tala Badri is the Founder and Executive Director of Centre for Musical Arts. Born and educated in Dubai, at the age of seventeen Tala was awarded a full scholarship by the Government of Dubai to study music at Royal Holloway, University of London and became and still is the only female Emirati music graduate.

Armed with a second degree in Management and Languages in 1995, Tala worked for the next ten years in the financial sector (Barclays Bank) and consumer sector (Mars) gaining experience in Finance, Human Resources and Management. Whilst working in the corporate sector, Tala continued to teach flute and piano regularly and was heavily involved in the performing arts community in Dubai, including being instrumental in the development of the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre.

Tala established the award winning Centre for Musical Arts in September 2006 and she teaches Flute, Saxophone and Piano at the Centre.
