Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is a vibrant and established music education provider based at the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children. We offer high-quality one-to-one private instrumental lessons at our Centre and deliver a comprehensive peripatetic music service to over 40 schools across Dubai. We are committed to fostering a love of music and providing exceptional musical education to students of all ages and abilities.

 

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TEACHING SPECIALISTS

 

1. Brass Specialist (Full-Time) August 2025 (must have the ability to teach across all brass instruments) 

 

CMA is seeking a well-qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic Brass Specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position requires an individual with the proven ability to teach across a range of brass instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instrumental lessons to students in both our Centre and within our partner schools.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality individual and potentially small group instrumental lessons on a variety of brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba, etc.).
  • Prepare students for music examinations (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and ensure a strong understanding of Music Theory.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full musical potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians.
  • Participate in and potentially lead ensembles, choirs, or youth orchestra activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other CMA instructors and school staff.
  • Be proactive in your professional development and stay current with teaching methodologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills in managing your teaching schedule and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school representatives.
  • Uphold the values and standards of CMA.

 

2. Guitar Specialist (Full-Time) August 2025 (must have the ability to teach across all guitar instruments and styles) 

 

 

CMA is seeking a well-qualified, flexible, and enthusiastic Guitar Specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position requires an individual with the proven ability to teach across a range of guitar instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instrumental lessons to students in both our Centre and within our partner schools.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver high-quality individual and potentially small group instrumental lessons on a variety of guitar instruments (classical, acoustic, electric, ukulele etc.).
  • Prepare students for music examinations (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and ensure a strong understanding of Music Theory.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full musical potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians.
  • Participate in and potentially lead ensembles, choirs, or youth orchestra activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other CMA instructors and school staff.
  • Be proactive in your professional development and stay current with teaching methodologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills in managing your teaching schedule and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school representatives.

For all Instrumental Specialists:

 

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching brass instruments within a British or International School/Music Service.
  • Hold a Music Degree in Performance & Teaching or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of music examination boards (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and Music Theory.
  • Experience in leading or participating in ensembles, choirs, or youth orchestras.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English.
  • A genuine love for your instrument(s) and a passion for music education.

 Desirable:

 

  • Holder of a valid driving licence.
  • Knowledge of musical teaching software and strong IT literacy, including a sound knowledge of G-Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Ability to accompany students on the piano.
  • Ability to teach a second instrument and/or piano.

Allowances & Benefits (For Full-Time Contract):

  • Visa sponsorship.
  • Tax-free monthly salary of Dhs 8,000 + commission (potential to earn up to Dhs 16,000 based on student numbers).
  • Private medical insurance.
  • 6 weeks of annual paid leave.

ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES

 

1. Music Exams Coordinator

 

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Music Exams Coordinator to manage and administer all aspects of our international music examination program. This crucial role will be responsible for the smooth and successful delivery of exams from renowned boards such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, and Rockschool. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with exceptional administrative and communication skills, capable of managing a varied workload to tight deadlines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to international music examinations (ABRSM, Trinity College London, Rockschool, etc.).
  • Manage the entire examination process, from registration and scheduling to invigilation and results dissemination.
  • Develop and maintain complex examination timetables, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to board regulations.
  • Process applications, fees, and other relevant documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with examiners, candidates, parents/guardians, and internal staff to ensure a seamless examination experience.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of examination entries, results, and related information.
  • Prepare and distribute examination materials and information to candidates and relevant parties.
  • Ensure compliance with the regulations and guidelines of each examination board.
  • Manage examination venues and logistics, ensuring a suitable and comfortable environment for candidates and examiners.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Utilize advanced IT skills and G-Suite applications to manage data, communication, and administrative tasks effectively.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of examination processes and procedures.
  • Undertake other administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a varied workload to tight timescales, including experience of complex timetabling procedures.
  • Excellent administration skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent) and exceptional G-Suite skills (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.  
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Highly Desirable:

 

  • A formal music qualification (e.g., degree, diploma) or a good working knowledge of music theory, musical instruments, and the structure of music examinations.
  • Previous experience working in an educational or examination administration environment.
  • Familiarity with the regulations and procedures of ABRSM, Trinity College London, and Rockschool examinations.
