Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as its full time Accounts Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and management of all finance and accounting functions. The Accounts Manager will ensure that all proper procedures and systems are in place to support effective planning, program implementation, audits, and internal controls.
 
The Accounts Manager will report directly to the Executive Director. You will be responsible of two additional finance staff.  CMA is seeking a finance professional who is already located in Dubai and has a strong background in accounting—with five to ten years’ experience, preferably with two to four years’ experience in public accounting. Primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:


• Directing and managing all finance and accounting functions including the management, leadership, and training of accounting staff

• Coordinating inter-departmental functions to ensure accurate, effective and timely processing of transactions
• Overseeing all accounts, ledgers and financial reporting systems

• Ensuring financial transactions are in accordance with regulatory guidelines and CMA requirements
• Ensuring all journal entries are posted and account reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Performing analysis and review of financial results as required by the Executive Director
• Tracking and reviewing revenues and expenditures for all school contracts and providing timely feedback and recommendations to both internal and external personnel

• Preparing financial statements, variance reports and developing other reporting tools necessary for the effective operation of accounting functions
• Assisting with budget and forecast preparation

• Overseeing program and project budgets and providing analysis and reports on project performance to the Management Team as required
• Maintaining and reviewing daily cash balance report and informing the Executive Director of weekly cash position.

• Coordinating the communication, preparation, and execution of all audit, cost reporting, VAT, and regulatory work
• Updating and developing applicable policies and procedures

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years public accounting experience
• Preferably a minimum of 3 years supervising and managing finance and accounting professionals

• Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Word and SAGE.
• Previous experience in financial management roles at non-profit organizations
• Competency with general ledger accounting and financial reporting software systems
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills

• Solid analytical skills; strategic thinker; strong communications skills
