Summer Music
Summer Music is a week of musical activities which take place in August each year, at the end of the summer holidays. Taking part in our summer music programme is an ideal way to beat the heat, wake up and shake up after a long holiday, dust off your instrument and get ready for the new school year. Activities focus on a variety of musical skills, all in a practical setting, and there is a performance at the end of the course for family and friends in which students can showcase the week’s work.
Kickstart - ages 6 and 7 - 2pm to 5pm - AED600
Children who are taking their first steps in learning a musical instrument will explore different styles of music, learn about the instruments of the orchestra and play through sound with a variety of group activities, singing, games and much more. Those who are complete beginners are also welcome to join in the fun.
Spark - ages 8 to 11 - 10am to 5pm - AED1200
Suitable for those already learning a musical instrument (ABRSM Grade 1 to 5).
Students will get involved with ensemble playing tailored to their level and try their hands at lots of different musical activities, exploring different musical styles, brushing up on music theory and having fun with the expressive arts.
Ignite - ages 12+ - 10am to 5pm - AED1200
A mash up of musical activities for students of an ABRSM Grade 1 to 5 level, similar to the Spark course.
Inspire - ABRSM Grade 6+ - 10am to 5pm - AED1200
This course is open to more advanced students, looking to take their musicianship to the next level. This course promises to seriously enhance musical abilities; developing performance and ensemble techniques in a chamber music setting and widening skill sets with a selection of activities including compostion, music technology and music theory.
