Born in Nicosia, Cyprus; Chara started playing the piano at the age of 4. Since then, she attended The Lyrikon Junior Conservatoire in Nicosia; where she studied piano, music theory, advance harmony and cello. In 2007 she moved to the UK, where she studied at The University of Sheffield for the Bachelor of Music degree. In 2010, under the encouragement of her piano teacher Benjamin Frith, Chara gained a place to study for a Master’s degree in piano performance at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, United Kingdom. 

Chara has participated and performed in numerous piano masterclasses by world-renowned pianists such as Polina Leschenko, Martin Jones, James Kirby, Graham Fitch, Elena Kuschnerova, Richard McMahon, Roger Owens and others.

Remarkable performing experience includes her participation in the UK premier of the piece 'Piano Phasing' by the German composer Kristoffer Zegers as part of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.

Her latest performing activities include her visit to Baden-Baden, Germany where she studied in private with the world-renowned Russian pianist Elena Kuschnerova. In addition, last summer she composed the original music for the theatrical play 'The Magic Pillows' by Eugene Trivizas, a tale for young audiences which combined music with theater and puppetry.

Chara is based in Dubai since September 2015, where she was working as a private and peripatetic piano teacher. Her teaching experience ranges from beginners to diploma level in both A.B.R.S.M and Trinity Guildhall piano exams. She is very excited to join the CMA family, where she will be teaching piano and music theory to students of all ages and levels.
